About the Role
ZoomInfo is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our Applied AI team. You'll help design and implement core systems for our real-time marketing platform, working with high-throughput ad infrastructure, large-scale identity resolution, and intelligent systems enhanced by LLMs.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and build distributed systems that process billions of behavioral events per day in real time
- →Develop high-performance APIs and services for advertising, identity, and intent features
- →Leverage machine learning and LLMs to analyze behavioral data and enable intelligent decision-making
- →Build intelligent agents using frameworks like LangGraph or MCP
- →Design and operate data pipelines using Kafka, Kinesis, and ClickHouse
- →Drive quality, performance, scalability, and observability across systems
- →Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers
- →Contribute to technical leadership and mentorship
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of backend, data, or infrastructure engineering experience
- ✓Strong experience in distributed systems engineering, big data infrastructure, or applied AI/ML
- ✓Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python
- ✓Solid grasp of SQL and large-scale data modeling
- ✓Familiarity with databases and tools like ClickHouse, DynamoDB, Kafka, Kinesis, Airflow, Snowflake
- ✓AI-Native Development Mindset
- ✓Comfortable using LLMs in your development workflow
- ✓Skilled at designing and implementing LLM-powered systems like RAG pipelines or agent frameworks

- ✓Experience in ad tech, real-time bidding, or programmatic systems
- ✓Background in identity resolution, attribution, or behavioral analytics
- ✓Contributions to open source in ML, infrastructure, or data tooling
