As a Research Data Scientist, you will leverage theory, data, and research to solve business problems. You will support data science and analytics efforts across Marketing, Finance, HR, and related functions. You will contribute to building and improving measurement and reporting processes To this end, you will help teams access insights needed to operate effectively
This role will be responsible for drawing insights from large data sets, defining and implementing key model Performance Indicators, and for communicating insights and trends to support business decision-making, as it relates to data science-enabled decisions. This role will work with datasets relevant to assigned projects and business areas and be responsible to work closely with business stakeholders on measurement, success metrics, and analytics. Effectiveness in this position will require an understanding of technical methods and data engineering necessary to build and implement data science models, as well as knowing general industry trends, business objectives, and workforce dynamics. You will use data to develop insights, forecasts, metrics, dashboards and recommendations to inform decisions about our operations and go-to-market strategy.
What Youβll Do (Essential Functions)
β’ Partner with stakeholders to understand measurement and analytic needs and support development of solutions
β’ Translate and summarize data into written reports, tables, graphs, dashboards and charts to convey information to management
β’ Create and present high-impact data visualizations, communications, and data "stories" alongside clear, compelling recommendations
β’ Communicate complex ideas/findings clearly and concisely. Use a combination of internal and external data to generate insights about human capital and/or marketing strategy
β’ Contribute to the development and maintenance of measurement and analytics processes
β’ Evaluate emerging techniques and prototyping solutions to enhance data solutions
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support analytics initiatives
β’ Learn & stay current on AI and data analytics, including retention/attrition/survival modeling, Graph/Network analysis, causal modeling, hypothesis testing, bias and ethics (particularly in AI), and applied AI sciences use cases
β’ Report findings that drive key operational decisions by creating useful and appropriate data outputs and visualizations tailored for the intended audiences
β’ Contribute ideas and support research initiatives aligned to team priorities
β’ Share knowledge and collaborate with teammates to improve analytics practices
β’ Interest in thought leadership and practicing the cutting edge of data science, including AI and machine learning techniques

What You Bring (Required Qualifications)
β’ Master's Degree in STEM related field.
β’ 2+ years of experience using metrics, data, and/or analytics to inform decisions, strategies, and/or research questions.
β’ 2+ years of experience building data science solutions for either People/Talent Analytics (HR), Market Research (Marketing), Finance Operations/Strategy, and/or applied research.
β’ 2+ years of experience managing data and analytics assets for large organizations.
β’ 2+ years of experience conducting research and/or data analysis in an organization or consulting environment, including formulating questions with customers, collecting and analyzing data, generating insights, and sharing results with various types of audiences.
β’ Possess skills and experience related to preparation, manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools such as R, Python, SQL, and Tableau.
β’ Possess skills and experience in deploying and managing data science solutions (ML, AI, etc.) using tools such as Snowflake, Data Bricks, and Google Cloud Platform.
Preferred requirements
β’ Doctoral degree in a business, quantitative (STEM), or social science field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Management, HR, Marketing)
β’ Possess skills and experience related to preparation, manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools such as R, Python, SQL, and Tableau
β’ Familiarity with designing and setting up intuitive data visuals and dashboards
β’ Experience working with economic data
β’ Experience presenting analyses and technical information to non-technical and technical senior audiences.
