🚀 We’re Hiring: ADABAS / Mainframe DBA (Remote) 🚀 Location: Minneapolis / St. Paul, MN (Remote – local candidates preferred) Duration: 6–12 Months (Contract) We’re looking for an experienced Mainframe Database Administrator with strong expertise in Software AG ADABAS to join our enterprise mainframe platform support team. This is a long‑term contract opportunity supporting a large, complex mainframe environment. 🔧 Position Overview As a Mainframe DBA, you will manage and support mission‑critical ADABAS databases and related Software AG technologies in a high‑availability enterprise environment. ✅ Key Responsibilities Manage and administer 60+ ADABAS databases in a large‑scale environment (9TB+) Support integration with ADABAS Security, Natural, Natural Security, Entire NetWork, AOS, Review, and SQL Gateway Monitor, tune, and optimize performance across ADABAS, Natural, Entire NetWork, and SQL Gateway Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations Execute Software AG upgrades, patches, and maintenance Troubleshoot Software AG product issues and performance problems Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures Participate in on‑call support rotation 🧰 Required Technical Skills Extensive experience with Software AG ADABAS database administration Strong hands‑on experience with Natural, NaturalONE, and Natural Security Solid knowledge of IBM z/OS, including TPX, TSO, and Batch JCL Experience installing and supporting: ADABAS Security Entire NetWork SQL Gateway AOS Review CICS Interface ➕ Nice to Have Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools Familiarity with CA Broadcom mainframe tools (Vantage, View, TPX, JCL Check, Sysview, NetMaster) Exposure to CICS, Intercom, SQL, PL/I Basic knowledge or diagnostic exposure to Assembler 🖥 Work Environment IBM z15 systems Multiple LPARs Enterprise‑class storage infrastructure 📩 Interested?
