About the Role We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer – MCP & API Development for an exciting hybrid opportunity in California. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop MCP servers and tools for enterprise AI agents • Build reusable Python services and governed API layers • Integrate MCP tools with enterprise APIs, databases, and external services • Implement authentication, authorization, and secure service-to-service communication • Define JSON schemas, tool contracts, and standardized error-handling mechanisms • Develop unit, API, and integration tests • Ensure secure and reliable agent-to-tool communication Requirements • Strong Python programming and backend development experience • Hands-on experience with REST API development and integrations • Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI agent architectures • Experience with FastMCP or similar Python-based MCP server implementations • Strong understanding of JSON schemas, API validation, error handling, and versioning • Knowledge of OAuth, JWT, IAM, RBAC, and ABAC • Working experience with GCP, Git/GitHub, Docker, CI/CD, and automated testing
