About the Role We are looking for an AI Support Engineer to help build reliable, accurate, and business-ready AI/BI solutions using Databricks Genie, SQL, Python, and Generative AI. Key Responsibilities • Design and maintain semantic layers for Databricks Genie, including metadata, synonyms, and business metrics • Build and optimize Genie Spaces to improve AI-generated responses • Develop and maintain metric views, KPIs, and business logic • Create evaluation frameworks and regression test suites for SQL generation and AI response accuracy • Analyze query failures and improve results through schema updates, metadata enhancements, and prompt tuning • Collaborate with Data Engineering and DevOps teams on data quality, deployment, monitoring, and governance • Translate business requirements and stakeholder feedback into actionable AI/BI improvements Requirements • Strong programming or scripting skills in Python and/or Scala • Good knowledge of SQL • Experience with Databricks Genie, Genie Spaces, and Databricks SQL • Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, prompt evaluation, or RAG architectures • Knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience with semantic modeling or metric layers such as dbt, LookML, or Databricks Metric Views • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker • Understanding of CI/CD, Unity Catalog governance, and AI observability is a plus
