About the Role We are seeking an experienced Ansible Automation Platform Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Ansible Automation Platform, supporting platform enhancements, automation content management, and systems engineering initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-wide Ansible Automation Platform solutions. • Manage complex engineering tasks, system integrations, and subsystem compatibility. • Develop and implement automation platform controls and shared automation content. • Establish and maintain the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for automation content. • Perform advanced Unix/Linux administration and automation scripting. • Support systems engineering, platform integration, and compliance reporting initiatives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance on special projects. Requirements • 5+ years of systems engineering experience. • 5+ years of Unix/Linux administration and scripting experience. • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with the Ansible Automation Platform. • 5+ years of Python or similar scripting experience. • Strong knowledge of YAML, XML, Python, Perl, and Shell scripting. • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively in a complex, fast-paced enterprise environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with GitHub Copilot. • Familiarity with TrueSight Server Automation (BladeLogic). • Experience with automation content lifecycle management and compliance reporting. Important Requirements • Candidates must be eligible to work on W2. • No relocation candidates will be considered. • Candidates must be local to Charlotte, NC; Chandler, AZ; Plano, TX; Jersey City, NJ; or Chicago, IL. • Hybrid attendance is required.
