About the Role We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise Java applications and APIs. Key Responsibilities • Provide L2/L3 support for Java applications and APIs • Troubleshoot production incidents, application failures and performance issues • Analyze logs, thread dumps, heap dumps and system metrics • Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement preventive fixes • Support releases, deployments and post-production validation • Troubleshoot REST APIs, Microservices, middleware and batch failures • Perform SQL-based data validation and issue investigation • Participate in on-call production support • Drive automation and operational improvements • Maintain runbooks, SOPs and support documentation Requirements • Strong Java / J2EE / Spring / Spring Boot experience • Strong Application Production Support – L2/L3 • REST APIs, Microservices & distributed applications • JVM, Garbage Collection, Thread Management & Performance Tuning • Strong SQL and relational database troubleshooting • Linux / Unix & Shell Scripting • Tomcat / JBoss / WebSphere • Kafka / JMS / MQ • CI/CD – Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or GitLab CI • Monitoring tools – Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, Datadog, ELK or New Relic • ITIL – Incident, Problem & Change Management • ServiceNow / Jira / Remedy • Experience handling P1/P2 Major Incidents and RCA Preferred • Banking / Financial Services / Insurance experience • Docker / Kubernetes / OpenShift • AWS / Azure / GCP • GitHub Copilot / Microsoft Copilot • ITIL Foundation certification
