About the Role We are looking for a highly experienced AS400 Architect with strong expertise in IBM i (AS400/iSeries), SYNON (2E), and LANSA technologies to lead enterprise application architecture, development, modernization, and support initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Lead architecture, design, and development using SYNON (2E) and LANSA • Modernize existing legacy SYNON-based applications • Design and develop LANSA and LANSA for Web applications • Work with RPG/400, RPG IV, ILE, RPG Free, CL and CLLE • Design and manage DB2/400 databases using SQL and DDL • Integrate IBM i applications with Java, .NET, REST/SOAP APIs and cloud platforms • Troubleshoot complex issues, debugging and performance tuning • Support ERP applications and enterprise modernization initiatives • Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams and participate in client-facing technical discussions Requirements • IBM i / AS400 / iSeries Architecture • SYNON (2E) Development & Architecture • LANSA & LANSA for Web • RPG/400 | RPG IV | ILE | RPG Free | CLLE • DB2/400 | SQL | DDL • REST/SOAP API Integration • JSON | XML | FTP/SFTP • Java & .NET Integration • Performance Tuning & Debugging • Aldon | TurnOver | Git • SDLC | Agile | Scrum | DevOps Preferred Qualifications • Experience modernizing legacy SYNON applications using LANSA • Previous AS400 Architect or Technical Lead experience • ERP and enterprise application modernization exposure • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
