About the Role We are looking for experienced AWS Kafka Engineers / Administrators to support a mission-critical enterprise streaming infrastructure with our direct client. Key Responsibilities • Administer Apache Kafka and AWS MSK in high-throughput enterprise environments • Manage core AWS networking and security components • Troubleshoot broker architecture, partition rebalancing, and consumer lag • Configure Kafka Connect distributed clusters and cross-cluster replication • Implement TLS/SSL transit encryption, SASL/SCRAM, and Kafka ACLs Requirements • 3+ years of hands-on administration of Apache Kafka and AWS MSK • Strong understanding of AWS networking and security (VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, IAM, KMS, PrivateLink, EC2) • Deep understanding of broker architecture, partition rebalancing, JVM/GC tuning, ISR management • Experience with Kafka Connect and MirrorMaker 2 • Proficiency with Terraform and Python or Bash for automation and IaC
