About the Role We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role requires extensive experience in systems programming and managing mainframe technologies, with a focus on technical leadership and vendor management. Key Responsibilities • Provide technical support to users concerning system software and utilities • Manage mainframe outsourcing agreements and work with managed service providers • Develop Statement of Work (SOW) documents for vendor engagements • Ensure vendor compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Request Management (SRMs) • Lead the implementation of mainframe best practices and ITIL principles • Collaborate with vendors to achieve successful outcomes • Assist in developing department strategic roadmaps • Present technical capabilities to business leaders Requirements • Minimum 10 years of systems programming experience • Strong background in analyzing, documenting, installing, developing, and maintaining operating system software • Experience with managing mainframe outsourcing agreements and managed service providers • Proven track record in understanding and managing vendors regarding SLAs, SRMs, and vendor commitments • Knowledge of ITIL principles with emphasis on problem, incident, and change management • Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems required • Master's degree preferred • Proven technical and thought leadership experience in IT • Passion for mainframe technologies • Technically aware and up to date on current technology trends • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work independently and maintain effective working relationships • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques • Experience managing a high volume workload • Excellent communication skills to translate technical capabilities to business leaders
