About the Role We are looking for an experienced Azure Security Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining security measures for cloud infrastructure, with a specific focus on healthcare security compliance. Key Responsibilities • Implement and maintain HIPAA Security Rule technical safeguards • Ensure compliance with SOC 2 Type II, HITRUST CSF, PCI DSS, NIST 800-53, and NIST CSF standards • Manage security controls for Microsoft Azure environments • Secure VMware-based on-premises and co-located infrastructure • Implement and manage identity and access management solutions • Create security control narratives, architecture diagrams, and audit evidence Requirements • 5+ years of security engineering experience, including 3+ years in healthcare, health payments, or financial services • Hands-on experience implementing HIPAA Security Rule technical safeguards • Knowledge of SOC 2 Type II, HITRUST CSF, PCI DSS, NIST 800-53, and NIST CSF • Strong Microsoft Azure security expertise, including NSGs, Private Endpoints, and Microsoft Entra ID • Experience securing VMware-based on-premises and co-located infrastructure • Hands-on experience with Okta, Entra ID, Active Directory, SSO, federation, Conditional Access, and PAM • Experience with WAF, edge security, network segmentation, and non-human identities • Ability to create security control narratives, architecture diagrams, and audit evidence • Azure security certification or equivalent practical experience • Proficiency in enterprise-approved AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot
