About the Role We are seeking an experienced Azure SQL Database Administrator / ETL Developer to join the State of Michigan team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining ETL data pipelines while supporting Azure database services and SQL Server environments. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop and maintain ETL data pipelines • Support Azure database services and SQL Server environments • Perform SQL data modeling and database architecture • Troubleshoot ETL processes and perform root cause analysis • Manage database performance, security and data integrity • Support cloud migration of ETL processes from on-premises to Azure • Collaborate with developers, business teams and stakeholders Requirements • 12+ Years of Overall IT Experience • 8–10 Years of T-SQL experience • 6–8 Years of ETL Development experience • 5 Years of PowerShell experience • 5 Years of Azure DevOps experience • 5 Years of Scrum / Agile experience • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration • Experience with SQL Data Warehousing • Knowledge of Logical & Physical Data Modeling • Experience with Data Pipelines – Extraction, Transformation & Loading • Database Performance Tuning skills • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) experience • Database Security, Backup & Recovery knowledge • LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY – Must be within 90–100 miles of Lansing, MI • Hybrid schedule is mandatory • Must be onsite from Day 1, every Wednesday and Thursday • Strong written and verbal communication skills • 2–3 Professional References required
