About the Role We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer with frontend exposure to join the Jira Service Management team. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement backend systems using Java/Kotlin • Develop REST APIs and work with microservices architecture • Integrate third-party systems and work with distributed systems • Utilize AI coding assistants and agents • Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines Requirements • 8–10 years of experience in backend development • Strong experience in Java/Kotlin, Microservices, and REST APIs • Working knowledge of Node.js, React.js, and JavaScript/TypeScript • Experience with third-party integrations and distributed systems • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agents • Knowledge of automated testing, Git, CI/CD, and SQL/NoSQL databases • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills Nice to Have • Spring Boot • Cloud Platforms • Event-Driven Architecture • OAuth • Integration Security
