About the Role We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. This role focuses on building services, integrating platforms like Databricks, SAP, and Splunk, and architecting next-generation API/MCP interfaces for AI agent workflows. Key Responsibilities • Architect and scale backend microservices and REST APIs using Python (FastAPI / Flask) • Integrate core engineering applications with enterprise platforms like SAP, Databricks, and Splunk • Optimize PostgreSQL data schemas, queries, and ETL/data-movement automation • Design interfaces (including Model Context Protocol / MCP) enabling agentic and AI-driven workflows • Enforce robust authentication, authorization (RBAC), and CI/CD best practices in Linux environments Requirements • Proven expertise in Python and distributed backend application design • Strong background with PostgreSQL / SQL, data integration, and RESTful architectures • Hands-on experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, Django, or Node.js • Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, or Databricks is a strong plus
