About the Role
We are looking for highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure / Kubernetes Engineers for a major IBM initiative. This role focuses on managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters, cloud infrastructure, and GPU compute workloads.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate and scale Kubernetes platforms across EKS, GKE, and CKS
• Manage cluster lifecycle, node pools, networking policies, troubleshooting, and rolling upgrades
• Provision HPC infrastructure using CI/CD and Terraform across AWS, GCP, CoreWeave, and OCI
• Manage GPU compute allocation and job scheduling for AI/ML training and inference workloads
• Build monitoring and alerting systems; define SLIs/SLOs
• Handle incident response, severity escalations, and post-incident reviews
• Collaborate with Networking, Storage, Security, and AI/ML Platform teams
Requirements
• 10+ years in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Platforms, or HPC, with 4+ years of Kubernetes at scale
• Kubernetes at scale: 4+ years of hands-on cluster operations
• Python: Tooling, scripting, and automation
• Terraform: Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• AWS: EC2, S3, EFS, and FSx for Lustre
• Monitoring and Incident Response experience
• GPU/HPC job scheduling experience
• Multi-cloud Kubernetes experience, preferably GCP and CoreWeave
Important: This is a specialized technical role, not a generic DevOps position. Candidates must demonstrate strong practical knowledge of large-scale Kubernetes operations, including scheduler debugging, CNI troubleshooting, node pool sizing, and rolling upgrades.
