About the Role We are looking for experienced Cloud Middleware Engineers to join our team for a 6+ month contract. This role requires strong expertise in AWS cloud integrations and enterprise middleware solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement API integrations using AWS API Gateway and related AWS services • Develop and maintain middleware solutions using Apache Camel or similar frameworks • Build and support scheduled, high-volume batch integrations • Implement error handling, retries, logging, and monitoring • Troubleshoot certificate, TLS, authentication, and integration issues • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and business teams • Ensure security, compliance, and architectural standards • Document integration designs, interface specifications, and operational runbooks • Provide technical leadership and mentorship Requirements • Strong hands-on experience with AWS API Gateway and cloud-native AWS integrations • Deep experience with Apache Camel or similar integration frameworks • Experience with batch file integrations and data pipeline development • Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, flat-file messaging, HTTP, and event-driven architecture • Familiarity with AWS services: Lambda, S3, Step Functions, EventBridge, SNS/SQS • Experience with PostgreSQL and hybrid enterprise integration environments • CI/CD, version control, and deployment automation skills • API security, authentication, authorization, and API lifecycle management • Troubleshooting, production support, performance tuning, and incident resolution skills • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred • Experience in public-sector or regulated environments
