About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Migration Developer to support a large-scale VMware exit initiative by migrating on-premises applications to an internal Azure platform running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Key Responsibilities • Migrate on-premises applications from VMware environments to Azure AKS • Assess application readiness, dependencies, secrets, databases, and migration requirements • Containerize and re-platform applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm • Modernize existing applications built with Ruby/Rails, .NET, Python, or Elixir • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps • Externalize application configurations and manage secrets using Azure Key Vault • Troubleshoot application, networking, database, and deployment issues • Plan and execute production cutovers, rollback strategies, and post-migration validation • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for migrated workloads Requirements • 5+ years of software engineering or platform engineering experience • 2+ years of hands-on production Kubernetes experience; Azure AKS preferred • Experience with Docker, Helm charts, and Kubernetes manifests • Proven experience migrating or re-platforming legacy applications • Strong coding experience in at least one of the following: Ruby/Rails, .NET, Python, or Elixir • Experience with Azure networking, identity, Key Vault, and managed databases • Hands-on CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
