About the Role We are looking for experienced Confluent Kafka Migration Engineers to support the migration of on-premises Confluent Platform environments to Confluent Cloud. Key Responsibilities • Migrate on-premises Confluent Platform environments to Confluent Cloud • Implement Cluster Linking, topic replication and offset mapping • Configure Kafka Connect and Schema Registry • Set up cloud networking solutions including AWS PrivateLink, GCP Private Service Connect or VPC peering • Implement Terraform, Infrastructure as Code and GitOps/CI/CD automation • Ensure Kafka security with SASL, OAuth, mTLS, API Keys and RBAC/SSO Requirements • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Kafka engineering experience • Recent, practical experience with Confluent Cloud • Proven experience migrating on-premises Confluent Platform to Confluent Cloud • Experience with Cluster Linking, topic replication and offset mapping • Strong knowledge of Kafka Connect and Schema Registry • Experience with cloud networking, including AWS PrivateLink, GCP Private Service Connect or VPC peering • Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code and GitOps/CI/CD automation • Strong understanding of Kafka security, including SASL, OAuth, mTLS, API Keys and RBAC/SSO Important Note: Candidates must have demonstrable, hands-on experience with an actual on-premises-to-Confluent-Cloud migration. General Kafka development experience alone will not be sufficient.
