About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure data engineering. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Medallion Architecture and support the migration of an existing Azure Synapse data warehouse to Microsoft Fabric. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric • Implement Medallion Architecture, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers • Migrate existing data warehouse workloads from Azure Synapse Analytics to Microsoft Fabric • Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and data governance standards • Develop and optimize batch data processing workflows • Prepare, transform, and curate data for downstream consumption • Support Power BI reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions • Prepare reliable datasets for data science and machine learning applications • Automate data engineering workflows and improve pipeline performance • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders • Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and ensure data accuracy Requirements • 7-10+ years of experience in data engineering • Minimum 2-3 years of recent, hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience • Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric pipeline development • Proven experience implementing Medallion Architecture • Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and data warehouse environments • Experience migrating data warehouse workloads from Synapse to Fabric • Strong knowledge of data quality, data governance, and pipeline validation • Experience with batch processing and ETL/ELT workflows • Experience preparing datasets for Power BI reporting and analytics • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently • Must be local to South Florida and available to work onsite 3 days per week • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
