About the Role We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team for a long-term contract opportunity in Lansing, Michigan. This role involves managing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases and supporting Azure Database Services. Key Responsibilities • Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines • Perform SQL data modeling, database design, and performance tuning • Support Azure Database Services and cloud migration initiatives • Handle database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell • Collaborate with development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment • Troubleshoot database and ETL performance issues Requirements • 12+ years of overall IT/database experience • 8–10+ years of T-SQL / SQL Server experience • 6–8+ years of ETL development experience • 5+ years of PowerShell experience • 5+ years of Azure DevOps experience • 5+ years of Scrum/Agile experience • Hands-on experience with Azure Database Services • Strong SQL Data Modeling and Database Architecture skills • Bachelor's degree required Important Requirements • Must be comfortable working onsite every Wednesday and Thursday • Remote-only candidates will not be considered • Candidates must be available for an in-person interview if required
