About the Role We are looking for an experienced Db2 for z/OS System Programmer to join a major banking client on a fully remote contract. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement Db2 for z/OS system programming solutions • Handle Db2 installation, upgrades, PTF maintenance and software management • Provide production support, troubleshooting and incident management • Monitor Db2 performance, tuning and capacity planning • Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery and database security • Work with Mainframe, z/OS and distributed Db2 connectivity • Utilize CICS/OLTP environment experience • Apply REXX and/or COBOL programming skills Requirements • Solid, hands-on Db2 for z/OS system programming experience • Experience with Db2 installation, upgrades, and maintenance • Knowledge of production support, troubleshooting, and incident management • Understanding of Db2 performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning • Familiarity with backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and database security • Experience with Mainframe, z/OS, and distributed Db2 connectivity • Proficiency in CICS/OLTP environment • Skills in REXX and/or COBOL programming
