Electron + React Developer for Touchscreen Kiosk Application (Remote, 6-week contract) Brief Description: Looking for a senior Electron + React developer to build a fullscreen kiosk application for a touchscreen device. The app must run in lockdown mode, communicate with local Python services via REST APIs, and have a polished multi-language UI (English + Arabic). Required Stack - Electron 40.x or (latest stable) - React 19.2.x - TypeScript 6.0.x - Tailwind CSS 4.2.x - Vite 8.0.x - Node.js 22.x LTS - i18next 24.x - React Router for navigation - Zustand 5.x or Redux Toolkit for state - Axios 1.7+ for API calls - i18next for English/Arabic translation - Touch-optimized component design (large buttons, no hover states) Deliverables 1. Fullscreen kiosk mode (no taskbar, no exit, auto-restart on crash) 2. Home screen with 5 service buttons 3. Each service flow as separate page 4. Idle timeout + screensaver 5. Admin panel (PIN-protected) 6. Settings page (printer selection, language) 7. Error handling with friendly user messages 8.
