About the Role We are looking for an experienced Firmware Developer with strong embedded C++ expertise to develop, integrate, test, and maintain broadband, video, and IoT solutions on RDK-based devices, including set-top boxes, gateways, and routers. Key Responsibilities • Develop, integrate, test, and maintain firmware for broadband, video, and IoT solutions • Work with RDK-based devices including set-top boxes, gateways, and routers • Implement secure boot and OTA update mechanisms • Perform firmware testing, debugging, performance profiling, and memory analysis Requirements • 8–10 years of experience in firmware development • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering • Strong expertise in embedded C++ (C++11/14/17) • Experience with Python and Perl scripting and automation • Knowledge of Embedded Linux: Yocto / Buildroot • Familiarity with RTOS: FreeRTOS, ThreadX, or Zephyr • Understanding of communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, TCP/IP • Experience with RDK-based device development and integration • Board bring-up, BSP customization, and bootloaders (U-Boot) • Experience with Yocto builds, CMake toolchains, and Docker-based toolchains • Firmware testing, debugging, performance profiling, and memory analysis • Secure boot and OTA update mechanisms Ideal Candidate A hands-on embedded engineer with strong firmware development, system integration, debugging, and optimization experience across broadband, video, and IoT devices.
