About the Role We are seeking an experienced .NET developer for a long-term California state government engagement focused on a large-scale pension and benefits administration system. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain a pension and benefits administration system • Implement RESTful APIs and backend systems • Write complex queries and stored procedures • Create automated tests and test documentation • Use defect tracking tools for issue management Requirements • 8+ years of experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and MVC • 8+ years with Microsoft SQL Server (complex queries, stored procedures) • Proficiency in jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, and XML • 5+ years of automated testing experience (Java, Python, or shell) • 5+ years with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, HP ALM, or JAMA) Benefits • Hourly contract (W-2 or 1099) • 24-month term with options to extend up to 36 more months
