About the Role Mastercard is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build and enhance a cloud-native payment orchestration platform. The role focuses on developing scalable microservices and building AI-powered solutions using AWS cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities • Build and enhance a cloud-native payment orchestration platform • Develop scalable microservices • Integrate backend APIs with mobile SDKs • Build AI-powered solutions using AWS cloud technologies • Troubleshoot end-to-end application issues Requirements • 12+ years of experience in software engineering • Strong hands-on experience with Golang and/or Java, Python, and REST APIs • Expertise in AWS ECS, Fargate, AWS Graviton/ARM64, and cloud-native architecture • Experience with Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore Runtime for AI-native engineering • Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation • Knowledge of microservices, Kubernetes, and end-to-end application troubleshooting • Frontend experience with Angular and/or React • Must be local to St. Louis, MO and provide a local government-issued ID card • Available to work onsite 3 days per week in O’Fallon, MO • Standard working hours: 8 AM–5 PM CST, with occasional flexibility • Strong prototyping, POC development, deployment, and troubleshooting skills
