About the Role We are seeking a Full-Stack Java Developer with experience in open source and AI-assisted delivery to join our team. This role involves building modern, API-driven applications and contributing to open-source software. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain full-stack Java applications on a cloud-based middleware platform. • Integrate large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and vector data stores into application features. • Use AI development harnesses and agentic coding tools to prototype and ship solutions faster. • Contribute high-quality, well-tested code; participate in code review and uphold engineering standards. • Work within a secure, government cloud environment and iterate as platform requirements evolve. Requirements • Strong full-stack Java (e.g., Spring / Spring Boot) plus a modern JavaScript front-end framework (React or Angular). • Demonstrable open-source contributions — public repositories and merged pull requests to established projects. • Hands-on experience using AI / LLM development harnesses or agentic coding tools to build software. • API and service integration; solid SQL and data-handling skills. • Ability to learn an unfamiliar platform / middleware stack quickly. • US work authorization; clearance eligibility per contract environment. Preferred • GenAI application experience: embeddings, RAG, and vector databases (pgvector, ChromaDB, Pinecone, or similar). • Cloud (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker / Kubernetes). • Prior federal or regulated-environment delivery.
