About the Role Galaxy I Tech is seeking an experienced Senior GCP Data Engineer to build scalable data pipelines and develop cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data ingestion, storage, and processing pipelines on GCP • Build and optimize data solutions using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer • Develop efficient ETL/ELT workflows and optimize SQL queries for high-performance analytics • Implement cloud infrastructure automation using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices • Develop applications and services using Python, Java, and Node.js • Work with Git, Linux/CLI utilities, serverless computing, microservices, and containerization • Support CI/CD pipelines, model and prompt deployment, model registries, drift detection, and production monitoring • Collaborate with architects and senior developers to ensure high-quality, reliable deliverables • Support cloud-native development across GCP and, where applicable, AWS and Azure Requirements • 8–10 years of experience in cloud data engineering • Strong expertise in Python, Google Cloud services, and Terraform • Experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and SQL optimization • Knowledge of ETL/ELT workflows and data pipeline development • Familiarity with Git, Linux, CLI utilities, CI/CD, and production monitoring • Understanding of serverless architecture, microservices, and containerization
