About the Role SVAM International Inc. is seeking an experienced GCP Data Engineer / Cloud Function Developer for a long-term contract opportunity. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes on Google Cloud Platform • Develop and maintain Google Cloud Functions using Python • Work with PostgreSQL, Advanced SQL, and Data Modeling • Implement event-driven architecture using Google Pub/Sub • Utilize Dataform and BigQuery for data management • Optimize performance with Redis caching • Develop and test REST APIs using Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI • Implement CI/CD pipelines with Git, Terraform, and Cloud Monitoring Requirements • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Cloud Development • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform • Proficiency in Python development • Experience with PostgreSQL, Advanced SQL, and Data Modeling • Knowledge of Data Pipelines, ETL/ELT development • Familiarity with Google Pub/Sub and Event-Driven Architecture • Experience with Dataform and BigQuery • Understanding of Redis for caching and performance optimization • Experience with Google Cloud Datastore and Firestore • Skills in REST API Development and API Testing • Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, Terraform, and Cloud Monitoring
