About the Role We are seeking an experienced IT Data Governance Architect for a long-term contract position. This role requires extensive experience in data governance, IAM architecture, and enterprise data management platforms. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement data governance frameworks and architectures • Configure and manage enterprise data management tools like Atlan, Collibra, Alation, or Microsoft Purview • Implement SSO/SCIM integration with Okta or Microsoft Entra ID • Develop RBAC/ABAC models for large-scale user environments • Provide technical leadership and guidance on data governance best practices Requirements • 15+ years of total IT experience with 5+ years specifically in data governance, data platform, or IAM architecture • 1-2 enterprise Atlan implementations or equivalent experience with Collibra, Alation, or Microsoft Purview • Expertise in Atlan personas, purposes, policies, classification, domains and data products • Experience with SSO/SCIM integration, group mapping, and user lifecycle automation • Strong troubleshooting, access testing, least-privilege design, stakeholder communication and documentation skills
