About the Role We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist / Lead Software Engineer to lead solution design, documentation, and development of Microsoft .NET applications supporting New York State ITS SLAs. The role involves configuring and supporting LEAP/Portal functionality, collaborating with architects and developers, and leading application development and back-office activities. Key Responsibilities • Lead the development team, track progress, assign tasks, and conduct pair programming • Analyze business rules and workflows to design effective application solutions • Design and develop web applications using Vue.js, Angular, TypeScript, Bootstrap 4, CSS3, HTML5, and JSON • Design reusable components and libraries using SOLID principles • Manage code merges, version control, and code quality standards • Support configuration and release management, including deployments • Create process flows, logical diagrams, and data models • Prepare reports, performance metrics, and staff training materials • Collaborate with business analysts and clients on requirements and technical specifications Requirements • 7+ years in application design and implementation as a Lead Software Engineer / Architect • 7+ years in solution design, requirements gathering, QA, and managing multiple releases • 7+ years of experience with SOAP and RESTful web services • 7+ years with Vue.js / Angular, .NET Core, .NET Core MVC, C#, and Entity Framework Core • 6+ years in responsive web design using Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and Webpack • 6+ years building components, modules, and services using Vue.js / Angular, Axios, and Vuex with REST APIs • 6+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience, including queries, stored procedures, and views • 7+ years collaborating with business analysts and clients on gap analysis, to-be design, technical specifications, developer mentoring, and code standards
