About the Role We are looking for an experienced Java Application Developer to support a public-sector healthcare technology initiative. This role involves developing enterprise Java applications, modernizing legacy systems, and building RESTful web services. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain enterprise Java applications and web services • Modernize and replace legacy applications • Build web applications using Java EE/JEE, JSF, and PrimeFaces • Develop RESTful APIs integrated with PostgreSQL • Implement database solutions using SQL and PL/pgSQL • Support AWS cloud development and CI/CD pipelines • Implement secure authentication using OAuth2 or OpenAM • Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders Requirements • 15+ years of experience with Core Java, Java EE/JEE, JPA, and JPQL • 5+ years of experience with JSF / PrimeFaces • 10+ years of experience with PostgreSQL SQL and PL/pgSQL • 5+ years of experience with AWS / Cloud development • 5+ years of experience developing Java RESTful web services • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards • Strong communication and independent working skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with EJB, Maven, GitHub, and Agile development • Familiarity with JUnit, Arquillian, or similar testing frameworks • Experience with Selenium and Apache JMeter • JIRA and CI/CD experience • Database schema design skills • Healthcare or public-sector application development experience
