About the Role We are looking for a Java AWS Engineer to join Amtrak as a Technical Lead. This role requires extensive experience in Java development and AWS technologies, with a focus on technical leadership. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework • Lead technical projects on AWS platform • Develop and maintain microservices and REST APIs • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and DevSecOps practices • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members • Troubleshoot complex technical issues Requirements • 10+ years of Java development experience • Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Framework • 3+ years of hands-on Technical Leadership experience • Experience with AWS, Microservices, and REST APIs • Proficiency with Apache Kafka, SQL, and database optimization • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools • Mandatory: Ex-Amtrak or Railroad Infrastructure Domain experience
