About the Role We are looking for a Java backend developer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role involves working with microservices architecture and various technologies like Spring Boot and Kafka. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain Java backend systems • Work with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs • Implement solutions using Kafka for streaming and messaging • Optimize database queries and design • Utilize cloud platforms and containerization technologies Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development • Strong proficiency in microservices architecture (RESTful APIs, Spring Boot) • Expertise in multithreading, concurrent programming, and JVM tuning • Hands-on experience with Kafka for streaming and pub/sub messaging • Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization, indexing, and database design • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
