About the Role We are seeking a Java Backend Developer for a 6-month contract-to-hire position in Plano, TX. This role involves full stack development with a 50/50 split between front end and back end work. Key Responsibilities • Develop, debug, and maintain code in a large corporate environment • Work with Java, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, AWS, and Spring Boot • Participate in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability • Utilize AI-assisted software development tools • Follow agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Requirements • 3+ years of experience with programming in Java • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability • Proficient in coding in one or more languages • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline • Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
