About the Role We are looking for a Junior Java Backend Developer to join our team at Alchemy Software Solutions. This remote position requires supporting Pacific Time (PT) business hours and focuses on backend development using Java. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain backend systems using Java • Work with REST APIs and databases • Apply data structures and algorithms to solve technical problems • Collaborate with team members on technical requirements Requirements • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • Preferably from a Top 100 University in the USA • Minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0 or equivalent • Strong Java programming skills • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms • Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) • Backend development fundamentals • Experience with REST APIs and databases • Strong communication and collaboration skills
