About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Backend Developer to join our core engineering team. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure backend systems using Java and Apache Spark. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and microservices-based backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. • Architect and optimize large-scale, distributed data processing pipelines using Apache Spark. • Write complex SQL/NoSQL queries and optimize database performance for high-throughput applications. • Design and implement secure, well-documented RESTful APIs. • Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior and mid-level developers. Requirements • 7+ years of professional software development experience primarily focused on backend engineering. • Deep expertise in Java (Java 8/11/17+), including multithreading, concurrency, memory management, and design patterns. • Extensive experience with Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data). • Proven track record of building and tuning production-grade data pipelines using Apache Spark (Core, SQL, or Streaming). • Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions), Maven/Gradle, and Docker.
