About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend / Microservices Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and healthcare payer applications for a 6-month contract role. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and enhance healthcare enrollment and billing applications • Build scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs • Develop database components, integrations, and event-driven services • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis • Ensure code quality, security, automated testing, and CI/CD compliance • Collaborate with business, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams Requirements • 8+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE development experience • Strong expertise in Java 8/11+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices • Mandatory hands-on experience in Healthcare Payer Enrollment and Billing applications • Experience with RESTful APIs, backend services, and enterprise integrations • Knowledge of Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and relational databases • Familiarity with Kafka or enterprise messaging technologies • Experience with CI/CD, Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, Maven/Gradle • Understanding of JUnit, Mockito, OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security • Prior hands-on Healthcare Payer Enrollment and Billing development experience is mandatory
