About the Role We are looking for a Java Developer to join our team in Jakarta. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining highly scalable, distributed backend applications. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop and maintain highly scalable, distributed backend applications • Collaborate with engineers, development managers and designers to deliver effective technical solutions • Apply software design patterns, coding standards and development best practices • Introduce innovative ideas and technical solutions to improve application performance and development efficiency • Participate in code reviews, design discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions • Develop automated unit and integration tests to support continuous integration and delivery • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams • Ensure application reliability and performance in mission-critical production environments Requirements • Strong hands-on experience in Java and Java EE development • Proven experience designing and developing large-scale distributed applications in mission-critical production environments • Good knowledge of software design patterns and development best practices • Hands-on experience with Java microservices frameworks, particularly Spring Cloud • Proven experience with the Netflix OSS stack • Experience developing and deploying containerized applications • Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm is an added advantage • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Self-motivated team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
