About the Role We are looking for a Java Developer to join our team focused on building and enhancing a cloud-based freight audit and payment application. This role involves approximately 80% backend development and collaboration with product owners, architects, and engineers. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Google Cloud Platform • Translate business requirements into development work • Drive projects through delivery • Work independently and contribute to solution design • Coordinate across teams and own development initiatives from requirements through completion Requirements • 8+ years of enterprise Java development, including Java 17–24, Spring Boot, and containerized applications running on Kubernetes • Experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure, relational databases, and message-driven or event-driven architectures • Spring Batch experience is especially valuable • Ability to work independently and contribute to solution design • Experience with AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code, is helpful but not required
