About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer with 13+ years of hands-on software development experience to work on banking or financial services client projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, SQL, and enterprise application development. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and J2EE technologies • Build scalable backend services and microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Framework • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services • Work with relational databases, write complex SQL queries, and optimize database performance • Implement secure, reliable, and high-performance application solutions for banking systems • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and banking stakeholders • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation plans • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver permanent fixes • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing • Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies, coding standards, and established SDLC processes • Work on application modernization, system integrations, and distributed application architectures • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, data protection, and banking technology standards • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the development team Requirements • 13+ years of overall experience in Java application development • Mandatory: Prior experience working on banking or financial services client projects • Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, J2EE, and object-oriented programming • Expertise in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA • Strong experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs • Excellent knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server • Experience with multithreading, collections, concurrency, and performance optimization • Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS • Knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and enterprise application architecture • Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines • Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills • Banking Domain Requirements • Candidates must have hands-on experience working on projects for a bank, investment bank, or financial services organization
