About the Role We are looking for a Java Developer to join our team for a long-term contract position. This role requires extensive experience with Java development and the Spring ecosystem, particularly in a financial or insurance domain. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem • Implement solutions on AWS, including DocumentDB, Aurora DB, S3, and Lambda • Design and implement RESTful APIs and handle external system integrations • Utilize Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures • Apply object-oriented design principles and design patterns • Ensure code quality through Git version control and code reviews Requirements • 7+ years of Java development experience • 5+ years working with Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem • 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience (DocumentDB, Aurora DB, S3, Lambda) • Strong understanding of multi-threading, concurrency patterns, and parallel processing • Strong understanding of REST APIs and external system integrations • Experience working with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures • Experience with Gradle build systems • Proficiency in object-oriented design and design patterns • Background in financial, insurance, or high-complexity domain applications • Git version control expertise Nice-to-Have Skills • Python scripting for AWS tooling or automation • JavaScript for full-stack contributions • Experience with data transformation and mapping frameworks • Knowledge of insurance or pricing domain concepts • AWS certification (Solutions Architect or Developer Associate) • Experience with Kafka Streams or Spring Cloud Stream
