About the Role We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join an Insurance project in Japan. This role requires strong Java and Spring Boot skills to develop and maintain backend applications. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices • Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions • Work with databases, write SQL queries, and optimize application performance • Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA teams, and developers • Perform unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and application troubleshooting • Ensure application quality, security, scalability, and performance • Support application enhancements and maintenance within the insurance domain Requirements • 4–8 years of experience in Java application development • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot • Experience in backend development and API integration • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices • Experience with SQL and relational databases • Business-level English communication skills • Good analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Tokyo, Japan • Immediate joiners only • Japanese language proficiency is not required
