About the Role We are looking for a Java Developer with strong enterprise application development experience, microservices architecture, AWS, and AI-assisted software engineering. This is a contract to hire position. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-quality production code • Build scalable software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and AWS • Review, debug, and improve code written by other developers • Promote AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational efficiency • Establish standards for validating AI-generated code through secure coding practices, peer reviews, and automated testing • Identify opportunities to automate recurring issues and improve application stability • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to evaluate technical solutions and architecture Requirements • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot • Experience developing Microservices and REST APIs • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka • Experience with NoSQL databases, especially Cassandra • Strong AWS cloud development experience • Enterprise-scale application development and system design • Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, application security, and resiliency • Experience with cloud-native engineering and production troubleshooting • Experience using enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, code reviews, refactoring, testing, and troubleshooting
