About the Role We are looking for a Java Developer with Agentic AI expertise to join our team in O’Fallon, MO. This role involves driving cross-functional teams and being responsible for the team's technical delivery, with a focus on integrating Generative AI into Java backend services. Key Responsibilities • Drive cross-functional teams and support the Scrum Master • Lead the integration of Generative AI into Java backend services • Build "intelligent" features using Spring AI or LangChain4j • Focus on LLM integration (Amazon Bedrock) and RAG architectures • Devote a substantial portion of your time to hands-on coding • Ensure the team adheres to high standards and best practices • Work within Agile Scrum (SAFe framework) to manage customer expectations • Translate business needs into technical designs • Ensure timely accomplishment of all delivery milestones • Responsible for the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of complex enterprise-wide microservices Requirements • 10+ years of professional experience in Java/J2EE and related framework development • Strong hands-on experience using Core Java 8, 11, and 17/21 with a deep understanding of JDK internals • Advanced skills in Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Spring Data • Expert in building RESTful Microservices and complex business logic • Experience building AI-powered applications on AWS • Knowledge of integrating LLMs (via Amazon Bedrock/OpenAI) and working with Vector Databases (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone) • Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3) • Familiarity with PCF or Azure is a plus • Strong command of DB concepts across Oracle, MySQL, DB2, and MongoDB • At least 1 year of recent experience as a Tech Lead • Ability to mentor 8-10 developers and drive technical direction with minimal supervision • Hands-on experience with GIT, Bitbucket, and integration tools like Jenkins or Chef • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments • Strong algorithmic solutions approach to handle complex implementations and high-performance transaction processing
