About the Role We are looking for an experienced Java Payments Architect to join our team. This role focuses on designing and implementing end-to-end payment processing solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design end-to-end payment processing solutions covering authorization, transaction processing, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation • Develop scalable Java backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices • Integrate payment gateways, payment processors, banking systems, and third-party payment services • Implement secure and reliable payment transaction flows, including duplicate prevention, retries, timeout handling, and failure recovery • Design high-volume, event-driven payment systems using Kafka or messaging technologies • Ensure payment data integrity, system scalability, high availability, and performance • Troubleshoot payment failures, settlement discrepancies, and production issues Requirements • Strong expertise in payment processing, Java backend development, and enterprise application architecture • Experience in banking and financial services, especially payment processing • Knowledge of credit card processing, merchant payments, authorization, settlement, and reconciliation • Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies • Understanding of system architecture and API integrations
