About the Role We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join our digital banking team at Citi. This role involves developing and maintaining software solutions for our banking and payments systems. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement software solutions using Java 11/17 and Spring Boot • Work with Core Java, Multithreading, and Concurrency principles • Develop Microservices and REST APIs • Utilize Angular and TypeScript for frontend development • Work with databases including Oracle and PostgreSQL • Implement JPA, Hibernate, and SQL Optimization • Integrate messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and JMS • Write unit tests using JUnit and Mockito • Utilize CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes Requirements • 4–5 years of experience in Java development • Strong knowledge of Java 11/17 and Spring Boot • Experience with Core Java, Multithreading, and Concurrency • Experience with Microservices and REST APIs • Experience with Angular and TypeScript • Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases • Experience with JPA, Hibernate, and SQL Optimization • Experience with messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and JMS • Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes • Banking, Cards, or Payments experience preferred
