About the Role We are looking for a Junior Java Developer and Production Support Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications using Java and Spring Boot, as well as providing production support for REST APIs and microservices-based applications. Key Responsibilities • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot. • Support REST APIs and microservices-based applications. • Provide L1/L2 production support, including incident investigation and resolution. • Analyze application logs and troubleshoot production issues. • Monitor application health, performance, and availability. • Perform basic SQL queries for data analysis and issue troubleshooting. • Support application deployments, release activities, and post-production validation. • Investigate API, database, integration, and application-related failures. • Perform root-cause analysis and document recurring production issues. • Coordinate with development, DevOps, database, infrastructure, and business teams for issue resolution. • Participate in shift/on-call support when required. • Follow change, incident, problem, and release management processes. Requirements • Good understanding of Core Java. • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Framework. • Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, and microservices. • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases. • Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD concepts. • Basic Linux/Unix troubleshooting skills. • Experience with log analysis and debugging. • Understanding of production support concepts such as incidents, RCA, deployments, monitoring, and application availability. Preferred Skills • Exposure to Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, ELK, or similar monitoring tools. • Knowledge of Jenkins/Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools. • Exposure to containerized applications such as Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift. • Previous experience supporting Java/Spring Boot applications in production. Candidate Profile • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. • Good communication and coordination skills. • Willingness to learn both development and production support. • Ability to work under pressure during production incidents. • Good ownership mindset and willingness to support application stability.
