About the Role We are seeking an experienced Kafka Engineer / Administrator to design, deploy, configure, and maintain highly available, scalable Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform clusters. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cluster health monitoring, performance tuning, infrastructure automation, and Kafka Connect integrations. Key Responsibilities • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform clusters • Monitor cluster health and perform performance tuning • Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting • Manage Kafka Connect integrations with various systems • Ensure enterprise platform security and governance Requirements • 5+ years of experience with Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform Administration • Experience with cluster design, patching, capacity planning, and performance tuning • Strong skills in Kafka troubleshooting and observability • Proficiency in Kafka Connect and integrations • Knowledge of security and governance practices • Experience with infrastructure automation tools Preferred Qualifications • Hands-on experience with Confluent Cloud, MSK, KRaft mode, or Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments • Familiarity with GitOps tooling • Relevant industry certifications
