About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Kong AI Gateway / AI Platform Engineer to lead cutting-edge AI and API infrastructure initiatives. This role focuses on enterprise-grade gateways, LLM integrations, and robust cloud architectures. Key Responsibilities • Lead AI and API infrastructure initiatives using Kong Enterprise and AI Gateway • Implement multi-LLM routing, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and RAG architectures • Manage API management across platforms including Kong, Apigee, MuleSoft, Azure API Management, and AWS API Gateway • Ensure security and identity solutions with OAuth2, OIDC, PingFederate/PingOne, mTLS, and Vault integrations • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform • Provide technical leadership for PoC development and stakeholder management Requirements • Strong experience with Kong Enterprise and AI Gateway • Expertise in multi-LLM routing and AI observability/governance • Experience with API management platforms including Kong, Apigee, MuleSoft, Azure API Management, and AWS API Gateway • Knowledge of security protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, PingFederate/PingOne, mTLS, and Vault • Proficiency in cloud platforms including AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform • Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership skills
