About the Role We are looking for a senior platform engineer to join our team at Amtrak. This role focuses on Kubernetes platform engineering and DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement Kubernetes platforms using EKS/AKS • Implement GitOps practices with ArgoCD and GitHub Actions Runner Controller • Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure as code • Ensure Kubernetes security through RBAC and network policies • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with canary deployments and blue-green releases Requirements • 7+ years of experience in DevOps/Platform Engineering • 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes • Strong expertise in EKS/AKS, ArgoCD, GitOps, and GitHub Actions • Proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure automation • Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms • Knowledge of observability and reliability engineering • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices Preference given to ex-Amtrak candidates or professionals with recent railroad domain experience.
